President's letter
Dear Colleagues:
It is a pleasure and an honor to be President of North American Iranian Radiologic Society. This is an important time period for our society with a successful and illustrious history of achievements over the past few years recognized at numerous international and national meetings.
I became a member of this society almost 20 years ago and I have been fortunate to have met and worked with peers, residents, medical students and research scholars of Iranian heritage form the international arena. I am particularly proud of trainees who have successfully faced the challenges when entering a foreign environment but with the strength and support from the Iranian radiology community have enjoyed the successes that have propelled their careers. In my experience when the student then becomes the mentor, the community strengthens allowing these opportunities to continue and become more robust. It is this completion of circle that defines NAIRS and furthers the contribution of all of us to society and our own community.
Shortly after RSNA 2016, NAIRS conducted a survey, which provided an opportunity for our members to express their voices and opinions on a variety of topics seeking to improve and grow our Society. The response was fantastic from our members and I look forward to summarize the results at our next annual meeting at RSNA 2017.
Respectfully submitted,
Keyanosh Hosseinzadeh, MD
NAIRS President 2017-2019
