Dr. Pooria Khoshnoodi won the 2016 NAIRS Research Award

NAIRS is delighted to announce that Pooria Khoshnoodi, MD is the recipient of the 2016 NAIRS research award for his scientific paper entitled “Volumetric prostate cancer lesion correlation on 3D-multiparametric MRI and whole mount histopathology with use of 3D printed custom-designed mold”.



Dr. Khoshnoodi is currently a postdoctoral fellow at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Department of Radiology. After completing his medical education at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Khoshnoodi started a research fellowship at UC Irvine/VALBHS, department of MSK/ Body imaging. Then, he moved to UCLA starting Abdominal Imaging research fellowship as a post-doctoral scholar. He has worked with multidisciplinary team including radiology, pathology, urology, surgery, MR physics and IT group at UCLA. His primary research project has been Integrated Diagnostics (RadPath) of abdominal imaging, focused on prostate cancer multi-parametric MRI.
